- Entire CanSat payload must fit inside the CanSat Carrier.
- University payloads should weigh no more than 4.0 lb including the carrier.
- CanSat payload should be designed to withstand 25Gs of positive and negative accelerations.
- Payload should have a minimum operational window of 8 hours without battery replacement or recharging.
- CanSat parachutes are to be secured inside the carrier sleeve, oriented away from the open end of the sleeve (in other words, the CanSat must exit the carrier before the chute).
Descent time for individual CanSats will be long enough that driftwill carry them 5 or more miles. Each CanSat should contain alocating transmitter for retrieval.
